Welcome to Upbeat Liverpool

What is Upbeat Liverpool?

Upbeat is the online place to get support with your mental health and wellbeing; to connect, learn and inspire.

Online resources to manage your mental health

Managing your mental health is really personal to you, so we'll offer you lots of different options to support you. You can pick and choose the mental health resources that fit you. Upbeat could support you to:

We'll share:

  • relaxation, meditation and mindfulness exercises;

  • ways to look after your physical health and fitness and feel more mentally well in the process;

  • courses exploring your emotions and how to channel them more positively; and

  • creative and expressive activities like singing, painting, poetry, photography, arts and crafts and so much more.

We'd like our mental health and wellbeing resources to grow  based on what works best for you and your mind. So please keep us updated on the best approaches to mindfulness and more positive wellbeing, the mental health approaches you're interested in and the hobbies and activities that interest you in general. You can contact us and share your ideas by clicking here.

How did Upbeat Liverpool start?

The site was built in collaboration with the mental health team from the PSS Wellbeing Centres in Liverpool and who we call our peer supporters; people who have experienced their own mental health challenges and now use their expertise to support others. These people have shared their expertise and first-hand experience of mental health challenges, offering specialist advice on things like low mood, grief, anxiety and depression. Upbeat Liverpool is updated with fresh daily resources produced by the PSS Wellbeing Centre team, our peer supporters and other friends and partners in the mental health and wellbeing sector. Find out more about the PSS Wellbeing Centres.

How can I get more mental health support and join live sessions?

If you identify as having a mental health challenge, you live in Liverpool (Liverpool City Council area) and you are 18-years old or over; you might also be able to join in on our live mental health sessions and get group support from our team.  This way you can meet other people with similar experiences.

As a member you can sign-up to our Upbeat Forum to join mental health and wellbeing discussions, to share your experiences and get top-tips and advice on wellbeing approaches that work for different people.
