A Message Of Thanks, Optimism and Hope for 2021........

This year has been like no other in our lifetime and our thoughts are with those of us who have been affected by the virus.

We've all pulled together in so many ways to keep each other as safe, connected and supported as we can.

We couldn’t be prouder of the way that together we've adapted, survived and sometimes even thrived in this most challenging year.

We know that mental health is as important as physical health and therefore how vital it was to be able to connect with others during the pandemic for our own mental wellbeing.

Thank You

We couldn't have launched Upbeat Liverpool or re-opened our buildings in a Covid-safe way without your help.

You have been a wonderful support to one another. What a difference it's made to know that we're not alone; that others are facing similar challenges; and to help find solutions together. Thank you for your kindness, collaboration and courage.

We'd also like to thank so many of our wonderful colleagues.

Firstly our fabulous team of volunteer peer supporters, Alan, Corinne, Elaine, Elsa, Gail, Ian, Michelle, Pete, Richard, Sandra and Shaun. They have led Zoom sessions, Vlogs, small face to face groups and co-produced the Upbeat Liverpool website. I'm sure they have been friendly and familiar faces to so many of you during the pandemic.

Our super-talented sessional workers, Cath, Mersey and Tracy who have kept us all upbeat through their positivity and creativity during lockdown.

The PSS Leadership team and Liverpool City Council who have guided us through this really difficult time.

Lastly to the many small community organisations who have helped us provide practical support such as food parcels, financial support and advocacy for people in need.

You're all pandemic superstars!

Hope

Whilst writing this we have just entered tier 3 and January is going to be another tough month for many of us. But this time there is a light at the end of the tunnel, with talk of vaccines being distributed quickly and the spread of the virus then slowing.

So real hope that 2021 will be better

Wishing you good health and much happiness in 2021!

From
