South Liverpool has an abundance of lovely walks waiting to be taken advantage of... and that's where Green Walks step in!
Green Walks is our bi-weekly walking group which congregates each Friday, 10am - 12noon, to help people explore and enjoy walking trails in and around South Liverpool.
In the last few weeks the Green Walks group have been to Sefton Park and, most recently, Calderstones Park.
For those who haven't had the opportunity to visit, Calderstones Park is a 94 - acre family park in South Liverpool. The park compromises of a beautiful Japanese Garden, a lake and a thousand year old oak tree called the Allerton Oak.
In addition, there are also the ancient Calder Stones on display, a group of six megaliths that once belonged to a Neolithic burial chamber.
It's also a great spot to get a sighting of all the wildlife, from lavender bees to scurrying squirrels. The Green Walks group even had a rather large hedgehog join their last meditation!

If you think a nice walk would do you the world of good then why don't you join us? Email Sylvie sylvie.allerton@pss.org.uk to be put on the list for our next adventure.
