LGBTQ+ support group 


Starting 7th of July, join Mind Connect for a weekly programme of supportive, person-centred sessions focused on mental health and wellbeing for the LGBTQIA+ community in south Liverpool. Each session offers a safe space to talk, connect, and learn practical strategies for managing mental health.


Topics will include:


  • Emotional regulation

  • Anxiety management

  • Confidence building

  • Identity and values

  • Self-esteem and more


Sessions will run from The Market Place Social, each Monday 2pm-3pm.


Open, accessible, and welcoming to all within the LGBTQIA+ community.

LGBTQ+ focus groups – share your voice!


South Liverpool Homes want to hear from LGBTQ+ tenants and residents about your experiences living in the area, the support available to you, and how services can be more inclusive. Join one of our upcoming focus groups to help shape the future of local services and Pride celebrations.


In-person session: Thursday 31 July, 10am–12pm, The Market Place Social, Parklands


SpekeOnline session: Tuesday 12 August, 5pm–7pm, via Microsoft Teams (link provided on registration)Whichever you choose, all voices are welcome. Your feedback will help us make real change.


Plus, you will receive a £30 gift voucher for your time. 

 

Women: rediscover your mojo with us!


South Liverpool Homes are working with Crosby Training to deliver an empowering women course, all about remotivating, rebuilding confidence and reenergising. The course takes place at Reach, in Parklands, Speke and includes health and wellbeing, improving mental health and happiness, combating loneliness and isolation, money and debt management, and conquering stress and anxiety. It’s a nine-session, three-week course, starting 9th July and finishing 25th July, running on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week, from 9.30am to 2.30pm.


At the end of the programme participants will have a celebration day and be given a £200 high street voucher package. Interested?

Care for a cuppa?


Do you provide support for a friend, family member or neighbour, or know someone who does? Local Solutions’ Carers Centre offers support and advice to unpaid carers and will be based in The Market Place Social each Tuesday, 1.30pm-3pm.


Drop in for a cuppa and a chat.
