The Reader, Calderstones

Poetry Walk, Every Thursday 11.00-12.00, free

Free, drop in. No ticket required. Join us for a restorative walk around the park, accompanied by some nourishing poems. No walking or reading experience required. Our walks are a great way to get active, learn something and meet others. This group is made possible thanks to players of the National Lottery with funds awarded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

A wheelchair is available to borrow for this activity if needed, just contact operations@thereader.org.uk or ring 07970 247 352 ahead of your visit.

Family Workshop

Drop into our free workshops for families over the school holidays. You'll be encouraged to create your own artworks inspired by the art in our free displays. Share photos of your creations with us on social media and tag @tateliverpool. We also have free Explore and Draw sketchbooks available every day.

The Reader, Calderstones Library on the Lawn Friday 2 June 2023 Mansion House

The Mansion House Garden is transforming into a "Library on the Lawn" for the day, inviting visitors to unwind with some of our favorite stories and poems. Whether you're young or old, grab a blanket or deck chair and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Our cafe team will be on hand to serve up treats and refreshing drinks, including mouth-watering ice cream. Or, if you prefer, bring your own picnic and make an afternoon of it.
