If you want to draw a teacup, think of it as a U with a C for the handle. Breaking things down into simple recognisable shapes can make starting easier.

We had a warm up drawing U's and C's and oval type shapes. Wobbly is fine - wobbly is what gives hand drawn illustrations their charm. Then we put the shapes together and decorated them with the leaves and flowers from the week before and whatever else came to mind.

It can take a while to let go of feelings of being no good at drawing. Keep practising and these feelings will go away as you discover you can draw.

Big thanks to Chris, Sandra and Gill for sharing their drawings.

Stay tuned - still more to come!
