Time for some Transformation Callout for Volunteers

Do you love to spend time outdoors? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us transform the area around our Dutch Barn.

We want to create a wide range of projects to take place throughout the whole year. These could involve:

planting and growing

creating a pond

But we don’t want to dream up these projects – we want to help you to dream them up!

What’s involved?

Not minding the weather

Having fun creating projects and being supported to see them come to fruition

Following PSS’s health & safety, confidentiality and safeguarding policy at all times.

Becoming a registered PSS volunteer which would include a DBS check.

Having access to PSS training

Having regular 1-1 catch ups with staff

What’s in it for you?

Become part of a friendly and dedicated team

Gain confidence

Share your skills

Learn new skills

Get to know new people

Stay active and reduce stress

Lift your mood by focussing on projects which interest you

If employment is a goal for you we can offer you a reference. Volunteering with us can improve your CV.

This role will suit people who:

Enjoy working as part of a team

Enjoy working outdoors

Are interested in sharing and developing skills and knowledge

Are enthusiastic about the work of the Wellbeing Centres

Are committed and reliable

Are flexible and able to take direction

Does this sound like you? Then get in touch through the Contact Us page.

We will be having our first meeting on Monday 11th January 11.00-1.00. This will be an initial barnstorming session to discuss possibilities and gather ideas together.

Bearing in mind we will still need to limit group numbers so depending on interest, the next meeting will be on Wednesday 13th Jan 11.00-1.00 and further sessions will be arranged from there.
