And here's what Tracy has to say:
'Welcome to the reading room. It's a place to listen to stories, a place to chat about what we're reading, a place to meet and relax.
Because we know that reading and listening to stories can improve mental health and wellbeing, and even more so when we gather together to share the experience, we want to offer you a space to do just that'
With stories real and imagined from Liverpool to the Mid West, from way back when to the here and now, why not join us for six sessions starting on:
Friday 20th August 6.30-8.30PM on Zoom
"We read to know we are not alone" William Nicholson, Shadowlands.
"The more that you read the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go" Dr Seuss.
"Book are a uniquely portable magic" Stephen King.
"The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. Now here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out and taken yours." Alan Bennett, The History Boys.
