Volunteers’ Week 2025

Volunteers’ Week 2025 is a week-long celebration that highlights all the important and amazing work our volunteers get involved with. 

When PSS was founded back in 1919, much of our work was carried out by volunteers – incredibly talented people who stepped forward to help others in need. It’s thanks to them – their selflessness and their ability to treat others with dignity – that we owe our success. We’d be nowhere without them. They built the foundations for PSS that have lasted over 100 years – and we’re proud to still have a brilliant team of volunteers today. We’ve got volunteers all over the country and in nearly all of our services.

Each role fits into one of our four categories: Everyday Heroes volunteers, Quality Champion volunteers, Change Maker volunteers and Trustees. Thank you to every single one of our volunteers – from our Board of trustees to our front of house heroes, gardening gurus and everyone in between.
