Lifting Mood Course on Zoom (May 2021)


This 7 week course helps us to understand what causes depression, how it affects our lives and the steps we can take to lift our mood. We also explore the close connection between depression and the way we view ourselves.


Together we will explore:


· Signs and symptoms of depression

· Meditation for Calming the Mind

· Challenging Negative Thoughts

· Positive Affirmations

· Building Self-Esteem

· Making Positive Lifestyle Changes

The course starts Tuesday 18th May 10.30-12.30pm and runs as 7 weekly sessions on Zoom.



The course is open to anyone already signed up with PSS Wellbeing Centres. Want to find out more? Take a look on 'About Us' under - Facing mental health challenges, aged over 18-years and living in Liverpool? You might be able to get additional support from our Wellbeing Centre team.

I was fortunate enough to be able to repeat this course last summer. Besides being a soft place to land at a time of personal loss it helped me to look again at the role our thoughts, beliefs and behaviours impact on our moods. Lots of gentle guidance on how to support yourself in moving forward. You also get a groovy handbook. I was a 60's/70's child and the youngsters amongst us may have a more up to date word for groovy.
